Deciphering the Indian Visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
Recently Bangladesh has observed the 50th anniversary of India Bangladesh tremendous relationship. The vicissitudes of the course of relationships have been apparent for the last five decades. After the ruling party, Awami League took the realm of power in 2009. The relationship had suddenly started to climb the peak point of ever we imagine. Dhaka and Delhi have started to negotiate the unresolved issues that had not been solved for a long time. But under the reign of the most applauded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started to solve the disputed issues and other economic unsolved hurdles. perhaps we know India has almost $ 14 billion in trade with Bangladesh. This amount is increasing day by day. In August 2015 Dhaka Delhi solved a long disputed enclave issue. Under this barter act, both countries hand over their 162 enclave lands. In the recent visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the most scintillating things that should have been achieved are CEPA( Comprehensive economic partnership agreement) and rivers water sharing disputes mainly Teesta. Teesta is the biggest problem in North Bangladesh. During the rainy season, it fills with water and inundated millions. On the other hand, there is a scarcity of water in the dry season. Teesta issue can be solved not only by the central govt desire but also by the acknowledgement of the state govt. But there are some disappointments with these two institutions. In the meantime, Bangladesh is suffering a lot every year. In today's global diplomatic relations every issue can be solved by goodwill and scrumptious diplomacy. But the lack of proper diplomatic channels, Bangladesh suffers a lot. Bangladesh has given transit it's the main seaport and the highways for using Indian vehicles to pass their goods in the Northern states. Bangladesh has shown its generosity more than India has given to us. The water sharing agreement of Mahuri, transit pass, and SEZ allotment, access to Indian goods. The recent visit of the PM should address the water sharing of Teesta, Bangladeshi vehicles transit to Nepal and Bhutan, Bangladeshi goods duty-free access and other disputed issues. Because of a long bonding friendship, Dhaka has the right to barge its pressure on Delhi to splotch the helping hand. Bangladesh also must address the nagging issue of border killings. If Delhi fails to provide much-expected facilitation in those deals, It would be detrimental to our relationship. But the Bangladeshi people's trust rely on the trenchant sagacity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
